In robots with a control cabinet it is the module that the ethernet cable connects to, in [[igus ReBeL]] robots it is part of the base.&lt;br /&gt;

In newer robots the embedded control is based on a Raspberry Pi, older robots use Phytec single board computers. The robot control software that runs on the embedded control is called [[RobotControl]] (since V14) or [[:Category:TinyCtrl|TinyCtrl]] (until V13).&lt;br /&gt;
