The overtemperature error is triggered if a module's temperature exceeds a limit. In some cases, especially some older modules, this error code can also be triggered if the motor current is missing, e.g. if the emergency stop button is pushed.

  1. Check whether the e-stop is pushed
  2. Check the temperatures shown in iRC: Open the "infocenter" tab below the 3D view and read the temperatures. They should stay below 70-80°C. Note that the modules cool down quickly once the error is triggered, so you may not see suspicious temperatures. Consider checking the log files which log the temperatures every couple of seconds or contact our support.
    • If an axis is overheating check whether the fan at the modules is mounted correcly and is running
    • Check whether the motor currents are set too high in the firmware parameters, decrease them if necessary.
  3. Check the fuses, wiring and whether the safety equipment is releasing power to the motors.
